Practicalities:

Receiving announcements: Anyone can join the list to receive the announcements. (When you register you will receive an email reply requesting you confirm that the email address is correct.) After you confirm you will then receive subsequent announcements. You will also receive an automated email with details of how change your settings or unsubscribe.

Sending: To avoid spam, this is an announcement list only, not a discussion list.

If you would like us to announce an event, and you are the person responsible for the publicity, you can send the email to Anne exactly as you want it to be forwarded.

Note: We will only forward the message if the event is (i) local and (ii) fully open to the public and (iii) of general interest. You need to include the event name, date, time, venue, and cost, together with your contact name, number and email for people to ask more about it, and any further details necessary such as directions to the venue and what people should bring.

 

Newsflashes: If you would like an event to be announced on the Crake newsflash, (the words actively type across the top of the screen) send a single line message to Simon exactly as you want it to appear.

Note: the same criteria (i-iii above) apply, and you must also have provided further information about the event on this website (including the details suggested for emails above). The line of text can have an absolute maximum of 86 characters including spaces, but preferably less. For consistency, and so that the date and time details are onscreen for the longest period, please sequence the information as: event-day-date-time-location.
